Robert Kibler has been providing structural design services in Northern California since the early 1990’s. In 2000, he joined Shelly Kibler to form the multi-disciplined firm of Kibler and Kibler Architecture and Engineering (K2 A&E). The diverse ranges of building types that Rob has engineered include governmental, office, hotel, retail, educational, warehouse and industrial projects. He has designed structures in all types of building materials including concrete, masonry, wood and steel. 

 

For 18 months prior to forming K2 A&E, Rob provided structural design services as Kibler Engineering, an independent structural design firm. During this time period, he designed a diverse array of facilities totaling over 550,000 square feet. These included projects from Bend, OR to Fresno, CA.

 

Prior to forming Kibler Engineering, Rob was a partner at SDS, Inc., where he served as Principal Engineer for the Structural Design Department. It was in this capacity that he served as the Engineer of Record and Design Engineer for such projects as the Redding Civic Center, the Redding office of the Social Security Administration and the renovation / reconstruction of the Redding Holiday Inn. These projects give a clear representation of Rob’s ability to effectively work with clients, design team members, contractors and building officials to complete projects in a timely manner. 

 

Rob’s engineering strength is his ability to provide value-engineering to projects by finding the most efficient structural system for each building. He has earned the reputation as an Engineer that provides economical designs that can meet the client’s budget and prove constructible in the field.
